Book Whisperer
I am ordering the books off Amazon today for those that do not have it and should have it early next week. I am excited that we will be reading this together as a staff. I am working on the schedule for reading it and will also have that by early next week.

Principal Professional Development Book
I finished this book last week. There were a lot of good takeaways but the biggest is probably how PD has changed. It used to be you had to rely on someone else for your PD. Now thanks to social media and the internet learning is different. It doesn't pick a specific tool (Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest) but rather just talks about the importance of being able to get your own information and then connecting with others for ideas. I am pretty sure 100% of our team is using social media to learn but if not we are missing a huge opportunity to learn more for free.
A Look at the Week Ahead
1/18 No School
1/19 Adria Klein at Valley Springs Church 3-5 8:30-11:30, TK-2 12:30-3:30. I will be at the afternoon session (TK-2 is so lucky) and here at Stoneridge in the morning to open up the school for the ELA pilot training.
1/20 SSC and ELAC meeting after school
1/21
1/22 Coffee with the principal 9am-10am
