I hope everyone had a great summer! As always I am beyond excited for the start of a new school year and all the possibilities that a new year brings. I can't wait to see what our students learn and get to experience this year.

I feel lucky that we have the same awesome team together for this upcoming year, plus two new great teachers.

There is a lot of information below. Having you go over some of this now will eliminate us going over it as a staff at a staff meeting. If you have any questions at all please let me know. Thanks!

Please make sure to bring your Volume 1 and 2 ELA teacher edition for Monday August 15th.

On the agendas there are links to the PE and Music draft schedules. We will discuss at the staff meeting so these are not finalized yet. If you see anything that doesn't look correct or is overlapping please let me know.

Here is the schedule for the week of August 15-18:
August 13th and 14th I am planning on disarming the alarm from 8am-8pm both days so that way you don't have to worry about the alarm.
August 15, 16, 17 the alarm will be off 6:30am-9pm
August 15th 8:30-3:30 TK-2 Gates, 3rd-5th Brown. Please see the attached schedule to see what time and room you are going to:

Class Lists
Class lists are not done yet. We have registered around 30 new students since we left. We are still going through the lists. As soon as they are updated I will let you know on Voxer.

PTC Teacher Rep:
When looking through the PTC bylaws we noticed that in the bylaws there needs to be a PTC Teacher rep that attends the board meetings and PTC meetings. If this is something you would like to do please let me know.

PE Guidelines
You don't need to read the entire thing but there are now guidelines for PE and our responsibility as a team to try and help PE not have to move out of the multi. Please do not plan to have anything in the multi from 10:50-11:15 on any scheduled PE days as Connie does kinder PE on those days. Also if you are having an event in the multi on a PE day please let Connie know as far in advance as possible. I will talk to Connie about checking the school calendar as well. If you have any questions please let me know.

Classroom Standards
I will be placing the paper to sign in your box. Please sign and return to me. As we are having more flexible furniture like bean bags, please make sure they are vinyl and not cloth.

Child Abuse Training and RCSD Yearly Notifications
You will be getting a link emailed to you to complete the child abuse training and mark that you have read the RCSD Yearly Notifications. I will be around Wednesday afternoon if you do it then and have questions or you can do it on your own time. The deadline to get the training done is September 15th.

Reading Correlation Chart
As we move away from AR levels and use Lexile levels, here is a chart that has Fountas and Pinnell levels, DRA, Reading Recovery, and Lexile Level on it.

Garden Update
Our garden committee is awesome and definitely ready to make a great garden at Stoneridge. The garden area is not ready yet as they still need to remove the stumps so nothing will be happening with the garden until September. I will keep you updated on any progress.
