10/9/16-10/15/16 Blog Post

PD on November 1st
Just a reminder that if you have something specific you want for PD on November 1st (or any staff meeting) please let me know by email or at PLC.  If there is something you want for the November 1st PD please let me know by October 17th so I have time to plan.  And yes I know time is everyone's number 1 and I will keep that in mind.

Last Push for Jog Donations
October 14th is the last day for donations.  If you could please send your class an email early next week reminding them of this date and that they can still donate.  Anyone that donates $20 will get glow in the dark bracelets, necklaces and will get to run through the teacher tunnel at our Glow in the Dark Dance party on October 21st.  You will get a list on Monday of who has donated.  So far this year overall donations are good but we have way more students have not donated anything.  Not sure why that is the case or maybe they are just later but way less of a percentage of students have donated so hopefully some last reminders next week will help.

Watch DOGS
Watch DOGS is still happening and we have our first Watch DOGS starting next week.  Diane is working on getting teachers the information in advance so you know if you will have a helper in your room.  Please make them feel welcome as a lot of the dads that volunteer aren't regulars on our campus.  If you have any questions please let me know.

Connecting Your Phone to Wifi
The district is switching over to where anyone will eventually be able to connect their phone to school wifi.  Until then you want to connect your phone or other device you can use the STEMP network.  The password is Stud_nt!t3mp
Please do not give that out to students or parents that is just for our staff to use.

Teaching Tolerance Website
I think I shared this resource last year but here is a website where you can get lessons, videos, webinars, podcasts on issues of tolerance and anti-bias.  They also have some good things on the election.
