Thank you again for your work on the art projects! They look amazing! Someone asked if you can bid on the silent auction items or class art projects from your child's class. Of course you can, you have a ticket just like anyone else. Class art projects are starting bid is $50 and if it doesn't sell we are going to sell it at the Carnival. Also if you see Valerie Gross, Eric Gross, Karen Combest, Sarah Dorn, Mindy Stieber or Jamey Schrey that night please thank them. They put an insane amount of work into the night. Thank you also for sending out emails to parents, we sold a lot more tickets the last 3 days.
Two New Hires
Please help me welcome Angela Primavera as our new RSP Aide. Lori Christensen has accepted a job at the District Office as a behavior specialist. This is a huge pay raise and something Lori wants to do longterm so I am very happy for her. Lori's last day will be April 8 and Angela's first day will be April 11th. Angela is currently a MDS and actually has a full teaching credential so we are very lucky to have her as the RSP Aide. We also hired a 2 hour aide to help in Mrs. DeLeo's class. Her name is Marty Nishimoto. Marty will also be a new MDS here. Marty has worked as an aide for over 13 years in our district.

Garden
It looks like we will be adding a garden next year! We will talk more at a staff meeting about what that might look like but it will go in the large planter box out by the playground (picture below). The district was already going to be taking those plants out to put in more drought resistant plants so the cost to us shouldn't be too bad.
ELA/ELD Pilot Materials
The ELA/ELD pilot materials will be available for staff to preview on April 6th and April 11th in the District Office Board Room. Please stop by between 4:00-5:00 if you would like to view the materials.

Mobile Maker Space
Some of you asked what a Mobile Maker Space looks like (it was included under budget ideas). We definitely have other needs that come first but I like how you can take these carts into any room and start using them. Here is a blog post on those:
